In the detailed render above company has showcased detailed front and rear look of the smartphone. At the rear bump, we can see the 4 cameras are placed and the main camera sensor is of 64 MP.

The display will feature 6.92” FULL HD+ OLED as per the TENAA. Also, the processor will be snapdragon 765G bundled with up to 12GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The battery capacity will be around 4300-4400 mAh.

In recent past, we have seen many different tech developments on selfie camera like Notch camera, Punch hole camera, Pop-up selfie Camera and also recently released Lenovo’s Gaming phone Legion Phone Duel given more ideal solution like side pop-up selfie camera, dose not having moving parts inside.

Other than that, the in-display fingerprint sensor is also using camera technology. So, the tech industry got the idea at that time that, using an in-display selfie camera would be possible in foreseeable future. But due to the use of high-density OLED panels in current modern smartphones, it did not help to put camera under the display. Because these panels are using tightly packed pixels and because of that under the display couldn’t capture the required light to generate high-quality images. The other solution was to use lower resolution LCD panels but it would be degradation instead of progression.

Non the less, we can see here that ZTE might have found the solution for issues and will be producing under-display selfie camera smartphones in mass. We will have to wait until the launch of ZTE Axon 20 5G on 1st of September, 2020 to see the actual phone and the result.
